London's WNBR events (in date order):

SOCIAL (& MINI-MEETING)
(Download a flyer here - this prints black and white, double-sided, 4 per A4)
Thursday 16 November 2006
6.30pm in The Plough, 27 Museum Street
The Bloomsbury, 236 Shaftesbury Ave
CLICK FOR A MAP now CLICK FOR NEW MAP

PLEASE NOTE: LAST MINUTE CHANGE OF VENUE!
The new location for this event is the function room above The Bloomsbury pub (236 Shaftestbury Avenue). This is very nearby to the original location. The Bloomsbury Pub is at the junction of Shaftsbury Avenue and New Oxford Street. There will be signs at The Plough pub to redirect people to the new location.

This is just south of the British Museum (which has large racks of bike parking open till 11pm), and the nearest Tube Stations are Holborn, Tottenham Court Road.

We've reserved the upstairs function room at this beautiful historic pub. It's just down the street from our usual meeting location (which will be open tonight, so you could just pop over an look at it if you want to.).

Like our usual planning meetings (see below), this event is open to all riders from all regions (even if you haven't yet ridden). We welcome new faces to this meeting - you won't be alone, there are a lot of people coming to the meeting for the first time. This meeting will give you an idea of who is involved in the World Naked Bike Ride, and will help you to decide if you want to get involved in the 2007 ride planning work.

      • From 6.30 to 7.30pm we'll have our mini-meeting - this will take the form of a facilitated discussion, to share ideas and thoughts/hopes for next year (we're not intending to take any decisions during the meeting - we'll save that for the e-mail list and 2007 meetings).

      • At 7.30pm we'll break for food (although the pub serves food, it hasn't got any Vegan food, but they have no problem with us bringing our own - if you are feeling generous, bring enough to share). The new pub (The Bloomsbury) doesn't have food or allow us to eat our own there, so we'll have to improvise.

      • After 7.30pm the meeting converts to a social event in a relatively quiet atmosphere (no piped music or TV screen). This will provide a comfortable atmosphere to break into smaller groups, mingle, chat, and perhaps show films/photos on laptops.

2007 PLANNING MEETINGS 6.30pm in the East side of the Great Court in the British Museum.
(open to all riders)
Thursday 8 February • Thursday 8 March • Thursday 5 April • Thursday 3 May • Thursday 31th May
